Hope Against Malaria Project
A Targeted Last-Mile Response: Urban slum settlements like Namuwongo face severe public health challenges, with malaria contributing to nearly 20% of national hospital deaths. In a strategic response, the C-Care Foundation partnered with the Rotaract Club of Kampala Muyenga Breeze under Rotary District 9214 to deploy a USD 14,588 integrated intervention backed by Malaria Partners International.
Utilizing advanced online surveillance tools, our trained Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) mapped and executed door-to-door health sensitizations across 5,022 households, achieving a 100.4% registration rate. The granular baseline data revealed that 94.5% of households reside near stagnant water breeding sites. By linking families straight to the C-Care Foundation Clinic, our clinical teams successfully administered free professional diagnostics and first-line anti-malarial treatments.

C-Care Caring for Communities
Underserved communities, such as Namuwongo slum, face numerous obstacles in accessing essential healthcare services. High rates of tuberculosis, HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and other health concerns persist due to limited awareness and restricted availability of healthcare resources. These challenges highlight an urgent need for dedicated outreach efforts to improve health outcomes and address the specific needs of these communities.

Tuli Wamu Campaign
A Positive Living Initiative: Beyond access to antiretroviral medication, emotional and psychosocial isolation remains a critical challenge for People Living with HIV (PLHIV). The "Tuli Wamu" (We Are Together) campaign provides a holistic, human-centered peer network targeting 500 individuals through highly segmented support groups, including pregnant women, discordant couples, and parents. By deploying trained counselors and health mentors to facilitate structured weekend sessions, the initiative addresses critical adherence, mental health, and disclosure challenges. Our strategic framework is built to achieve definitive milestones, driving toward a 98% drug adherence rate, 90% status disclosure to children living with HIV, and zero transmission among discordant couples and expectant mothers.
