C-Care on the Road is a mobile outreach initiative designed to extend essential healthcare services beyond the walls of hospitals and clinics, reaching vulnerable populations in rural and semi-urban regions of Uganda. Launched by the C-Care Foundation, the program delivers preventive, curative, and referral services in areas where healthcare infrastructure is limited or non-existent.
Our team conducted a comprehensive health outreach initiative in Namuwongo, bringing free healthcare services directly to the community. Services included tuberculosis screening, HIV counseling and testing, STI screening, and deworming for children. To further support reproductive health, we distributed condoms, promoting safer practices within the community.
This door-to-door approach allowed residents to access vital healthcare services conveniently from their homes. By engaging with individuals personally, we addressed immediate health concerns and gathered valuable insights to inform future health initiatives in the area. This outreach reflects our dedication to enhancing the health and well-being of the Namuwongo community, providing impactful and accessible healthcare solutions tailored to their unique needs.
